Genre Connections/Director Influences/Influences and Narrative/Story: The genre my group was going for was a romantic comedy but I don't think that the message came out very well. It would be a romantic comedy because you would see how this girl makes a fool out of herself trying to flirt with the new boy in the neighborhood. The comedic part would show itself in the silly things she does and the twist at the end of the film. My group was mostly influenced by the movie Amélie. The goal was to try and incorporate some of the movie's feel into ours.
Directing/Acting/Character:
I mainly say that I was the cinematographer in the group. But I would also say that the other two members of my group helped a lot with the ideas for our film. We had a good enough relationship with our actors. They listened and executed their roles all right and they also gave us some ideas. Our main guy character was having trouble playing his character in our film and I admit, the film would have come out a little better if he did. Or I think we could have also picked another person to play the guy character but it's okay now. The first couple of times my group decided to shoot, our actors were available but then everyone's schedules were full so we had to keep pushing back the shooting and we ended up not having everything filmed by our desired date. But during those times where we shot footage, our actors weren't in a hurry so we were able to get a multitude of different shots. In the end however, a majority of them had to be cut out because the weather on those different days weren't matching. 
Edit/FX, Techniques and Concepts: I'm not a good editor, I don't have enough patience to do it and also, I can see the film play out better in my head then on the computer. I've had quite a while to edit my film and I still feel like I could've done more. I wanted to try to color correct my footage and make my shoots flow more together.
Sound FX/Score: The boom mic we used was helpful in catching the audio of the actors in our scenes. The audio proved difficult in the store shots because their machine was running loudly in the background. We couldn't really hear the background noises in our scenes. We had trouble hearing one of our actor's lines because they spoke so softly. The music in the background doesn't match the film. I'm not sure it quite fits into the film, the mood. I wish I had more time to fix the background soundtrack.
Cinematography:
As one of the cinematographers, I tried to use a variety of different shots. We tried going from extreme long shot to extreme close up. We tried a type of overhead crane shot of the two actors, which didn't quite work as well. I tried to get a lot of coverage so that the end product wasn't from the same, long shot or waist shot of the location and/or actors. 
Production Design/ Mis En Scene: We tried to find locations that would best fit our film. We ended up using one part of our neighborhood, a nearby park and a family store. There was a variety of locations we shot so it wasn't as plain. The environment at the park we chose to shot at was hard to control. It was a very family-friendly park as well as a canine-friendly park. We had to be careful about the continuity of our shots and decided to keep to close ups when we had to. There wasn't much use of props. We originally planned for one or two items like an ipod or a basketball to add some detail but we couldn't fit those props in.
My "objective" analysis of the film as a whole: My thoughts on the finished film are both positive when you ignore the negatives. I had a good time planning and shooting it. The idea we came up with was a good and simple one. I thought the experience of really directing my actors was hard. I had to break away from the friendly type voice and get a little strict to keep the actors on task.
