HDDSLR's "Going Beyond the Still Image"

Characterization-

The shot where the Cabbie finds this teddy bear outside of his cab shows that he is a main character in the video. This finding sets off the whole short film. When he picks up the bear, a whole string of events will take place.

Also the shot of the little girl sleeping in her bed, while the Cabbie tucks in the bear next to her shows that she is a main character in the film. The Cabbie is shown to have a strong fondness for this little girl since he has given her the teddy bear he found.

Conflict-
The little girl wakes up and finds the teddy bear next to her. The shot where she finds the key inside the bear is the climatic moment.

Resolution-


The ending shot of the old fashioned looking chest with the blood stained hospital gown on it leaves behind a urge to know more. And a haunting feeling because in the shot, the surroundings and lightening add to the fact of making the chest look eerie. The gift of the teddy bear turns deadly as the little girl becomes evil. She ends up going crazy and then disappearing.. This shows that the story is yet to be continued with the key and the locked chest.

The DSLR camera is above to make crisp images like so. This image clearly shows the ability to make a clear, selective focus. The edges around the couple are super crisp. They are what catches your eye in this image. You are able to make them out very clearly. The camera does well in low light because it catches just enough of the light to cast a shadow onto the water below the bridge. The lights on the bridge and in the city are more like defined circles, yet not as prominent. The lighting on the two top buildings of the tall towers add a feel of a romantic rendezvous.

The area around the mirror is dense and blurry. This effect causes us humans to automatically focus on what's clear: the image of the man in sunglasses. The camera is able to keep the lighting equal so that no part is darker than another.

The camera does an amazing job capturing all the light during night time. The camera is able to show the water and reflection of the lights in the water as if illuminated by the moon. The image is equally lighted. With the camera catching more of the light at low-light environments, images can be seen as more alive. The city in this image seems more alive and busy with all the lights we can see. This camera is truly remarkable on its ability to capture light in just the right way in all situations.
