Solitude Film Textual Analysis

I picked this image because the screen direction caught my attention. The swing sets in the foreground go back into the Z-space. I also liked how the focus is somewhat fuzzy when you follow the screen direction to the back of the image. This reminded me of childhood memories.
This image also sort of stood out to me. I liked how the over-the-shoulder was shot and how you could see the faces of the other two characters also. This image from the short film captures the uneasiness both the two characters on the couch are feeling. You can tell from their body language. What stood out to me was the characters' paleness. I was just wondering about the amount of lighting or no lighting this particular shot must've had.
This image stuck out to me because of the difference in lighting. The girl in the far left is almost engulfed in shadows. Her face is the only clear and it even has dramatic lighting on it thats playing off the fire in front of her. The guy in the foreground is crisp so the focus is great on him. It looked like a good over-the-shoulder shot to me. We're able to see the faces of the other two people with him.

Animation Video Critique

Concept
I got my idea from my friend's birthday party. She had people go on her trampoline. Then I got the idea of having the sky incorporated because I remembered I had taken lots of pictures of the sky on day. I was trying to keep the project simple.

Green Screen
I used the green screen put myself in the project both bouncing on the trampoline and floating up the sky. The challenge I had problems cleaning up the edges of myself with the Chroma Key.

Photoshop
I incorporated some background layers and the images of birds, a hot air balloon and an airplane.

Title/Photo Animation
The title wasn't that hard to make. I just used LiveType. The photo animation was difficult only with the birds. I had to keep moving and fixing them to make them look like they were really flying. The animation for the airplane and the hot air balloon was easy because all I used was a motion key frame.

Overall
The finished animation somewhat matches my original planning. Everything matches excep the part of me in space. I didn't get to put that part in. My video is pretty quick though. I'm not sure it makes sense. I like how I used multiple layers in my video, even though they might not have come out so well. I learned how to use a green screen and a Chroma Key. I learned how to make an image move and incorporate motion with a lot of layers.
